Thank you to all who attended the 2023 Midwest Recreation-Aquatics-Fitness Conference! We had two full days of learning, networking, laughter and fun.
The conference kicked off with a pre-conference “Customer Service Bootcamp” presented by our Executive Director, Holly Johnson. This session nearly doubled in size as word got out that morning. What a great opportunity to take away tools to help build your team and your customer experience!
There were 40 breakout sessions over two days were well received and attended. There were 6-7 sessions to choose from at each of the 5 breakouts! Sessions ranged anywhere from programming to pickleball and from “Stay” interviews to marketing. These sessions had a lot of takeaways to bring back to the centers.
Wednesday and Thursday were broken up with options for our attendees. There was a pub crawl and live music in the park Wednesday night. Thursday morning we had some energetic attendees join us for a 50/50 workout before the conference began.
Our Preferred Vendors joined us Thursday. It was great to see our lineup of vendors and to hear the bustle and chatter as our attendees had the chance to visit with each vendor about products and services.
Wow! Impactful! Great! These are just some of the words and expressions we heard after both of our Keynote Speakers. Tim Eggebraaten joined us Wednesday and had us ready to write some letters. Dr JoAnne Owens-Nausler kicked off Thursday and had us on our feet and running around to start the day.
In all, we are thankful for a great gathering at the 2023 Midwest Recreation-Aquatics-Fitness Conference. We know that those who attended filled their tool boxes and left with great ideas, new networking connections, and a rejuvenated energy to take back to their facilities.
